I didn't receive 997/Confirm receipt of ASN. What do I do?

Can I have my documents resent?

Suppliers are responsible for the management of the EDI documents. Suppliers utilizing a VAN's service should contact their VAN about document retention and redelivery. Please call 888-317-4957 and open a ticket to be routed to the GEC Hub - SOLMIS group. The retention period for all documents on the GEC Hub is 14 days.

Can I have documents relocated or reloaded after they have been removed from my company mailbox?

Any document not older than 14 days can be downloaded from archive folder. To resend documents from Ford to your Out (Mail) box, Please call 888-317-4957 and open a ticket to be routed to the GEC Hub - SOLMIS group. The retention period for all documents on the GEC Hub is 14 days.

ASN has yet to show up on the Direct Data Link (DDL). What should I do?

The 997 Functional Acknowledgement is produced BEFORE the data goes to DDL. Ensure that an accepted 997 has been generated. If so and the ASN is not in the DDL, you have the following options:

  • For FCSD, contact your Demand Analyst whose name or phone number is on the 830 in the PRI segment
  • For CMMS DDL, please contact the CMMS Helpdesk at: cmmshelp@ford.com

Now that I am on the GEC Hub, who do I call if there happens to be a problem?

Do I still need to send functional acknowledgements on the GEC Hub?

YES. Suppliers are requested to continue sending 997s after pulling documents from the GEC Hub. While the functionality of clearing the mailbox or making documents as received is now automatic, several applications at Ford Motor Company still process the information from the 997.

When doing an "LS", how do I stop it from scrolling through the content so fast?

Contact your software provider to receive instructions on how to control the FTP client specific to your company's platform.

What is the IP address for the Ford EDI FTP server?

What should I do if I am unable to connect via FTP?

First, check the EDI Connection Status Page in order to check the status of your own connections. If all connection servers are up and you are still unable to connect, please call 888-317-4957 to open a ticket to be routed to TSO Trading Partner. An analyst will contact you.

How does my company begin doing EDI with Ford Motor Company?

Contact your Ford buyer to obtain a supplier code(s) by which your company is identified to Ford. Then go to the Connection Requests Page and review the EDI process document. Review the connection options and make the best business decision for your company. After your connection has been established, please submit the appropriate online request form. An analyst will contact you to assist you through the set up and testing process.

If I am a new supplier, how do I get connected?

Refer to the EDI Connectivity Requirements Document to review the connectivity options available. After reviewing the options, make the best business choice for your company. After completing the set up, please fill out the EDI Request Form.

I am an existing supplier and I have been assigned a new code. How do I get this new code onto the GEC Hub?

If connecting via a VAN, please have the new profile added with that VAN. Next, fill out the EDI Request Form. If your company has an ANX direct connection, fill out the EDI Request Form.

How do I migrate to the ANX? Is there a difference between the ANX and the GEC Hub?

Suppliers are not migrating to the ANX. They are migrating from SOLMIS to the GEC Hub. Connectivity to the GEC Hub is done through the ANX. The ANX is a separate entity from Ford Motor Company. For information in regards to migrating from SOLMIS to the GEC Hub, go to the Connectivity Page. For more information about ANX, go to the ANX Website.

Can I have more than one connection for a particular GSDB code? (For example: GEIS and Advantis or GEIS and ANX)

NO. Because of the set up and routing required, only one connection type can be supported per GSDB code.

I want to migrate from one VAN to another VAN, what should I do?

Check the Ford Motor Company Registered VAN Providers to ensure your VAN is one of the registered VANs. Contact the new VAN and complete the setup required by the VAN. After completing the trading partner set up and testing the new VAN, please fill out the Connection Request Form.

Go to the Ford Supplier Portal and lookup the plant code using GSDB Online.

Who is my contact for obtaining information about my company becoming a registered VAN?

We do not currently allow companies to become newly registered VANs

How do I update password?

GECHub V3 does not support password change by user, only GECHub Admin can update password. Please call 888-317-4957 and open up a ticket to be routed to GEC Hub - SOLMIS group. An analyst will contact you to get preferred new password.
